We train throughout the year, in the depths of winter into the heat of summer.
During the summer we actively patrol Dawlish Warren, working with the RNLI Beach Lifeguards, so if you want to come along, do some exercise and meet some amazing characters! just pop down to the club hut on a Sunday!
You'll get to train along side some international athletes as well as working to becoming qualified, after which, participate in regional and national surf life saving competitions. As well as gaining your beach lifeguard qualification which opens you up to working for the RNLI as a lifeguard, or even internationally all around the world.
You can work towards various qualifications, whether you wish to develop your lifesaving skills, train to become coaches and role-models for younger members or gain employment, for example as professional lifeguards. Below are some of the qualifications available:
